ASPHALT GREEN ADULT LEAGUE POLICIES

·         START TIMES/ARRIVALS: Games will start as close to the scheduled time as possible. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early, but be mindful to not disturb other AG programming taking place. Should a team not have their full complement of players, games will begin and that team will have to play short and the opponent is not required to play down to balance numbers. For your convenience, locker rooms are available. Please ask at the front desk for directions should you require this. 

·         SCHEDULING: Scheduling accommodations are not a guarantee. We will do our best (if we know well ahead of time) to schedule around reasonable requests (ie; ‘more early games than later.’).

·         RESCHEDULES/CANCELLATIONS: In the event that games are cancelled due to inclement weather, we will do everything we can to reschedule. Please note that reschedules may not take place on the same day or timeframe the league takes place. Reschedules are not guaranteed and no credits or refunds will be granted. Please call our weather hotline at 646.981.2372 sixty minutes before kickoff for any outdoor leagues.

·         FORFEITS: A team must be able to field at least 60% of a starting line up to avoid a forfeit (ie. five for 8v8, three for 5v5, seven for 11v11). All forfeiting teams will have a loss recorded with their opponent receiving the win.  Under no circumstances will forfeits be rescheduled. Teams (affected by the forfeit) still wishing to play in their scheduled space can do so however Asphalt Green is not obliged to provide a referee for these instances.  Teams that forfeit more than once without notice will be placed on warning. Teams forfeiting 3 or more games will be ineligible for playoffs and may be removed from the league schedule and not eligible for the following season.  

·         ELIGIBILITY: All players MUST sign a waiver to be eligible to play. Players must also compete in a minimum of 3 games to qualify for the playoffs. 

Players cannot play on multiple teams in the same league. In instances in which a team does not have the minimum number of players to start a game, a ‘borrowed’ registered player can be used (to avoid forfeit) only if the opposing team agrees to it. Referees and management are instructed to monitor the frequency of this. It should be noted that teams cannot add anyone to their roster for playoffs, nor can ‘borrowed’ players be used.

·         EJECTIONS/SUSPENSIONS: An ejected player must leave the facility in timely manner or his/her team will be issued a forfeit. Ejections may result in an automatic suspension, the term of which will be determined by the severity of the incident.

Suspensions must be served in their entirety. If a suspended player does not abide by the terms of a suspension, their team may be penalized points.

·         FIGHTING: We are an organization that prides itself on being a refuge for children, adults, and seniors. As such, we reserve the right to take swift action outside the below-mentioned statues regarding physical altercations when necessary.

o    Fighting offenses will result in automatic expulsion and minimum 2 game suspension.

o    Asphalt Green management reserves the right to impose more serious penalties depending on the severity of the offense. This may include action up to and including expulsion from Asphalt Green Adult Sports or the premises in the future.

IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT ASPHALT GREEN ADULT SPORTS LEAGUE MANAGEMENT STAFF HAS THE FINAL SAY ON ALL DISPUTES/RULINGS AND THEIR DECISION IS FINAL.
